Project Background:
- This collection center is the only facility in the area that aggregates low-value plastic, with a current processing capacity of approximately 1 ton per day. However, the lease for the existing site will expire in December 2025, and the current location is no longer suitable. Situated in a narrow alley, the site is difficult to access and limited to only 600 sqm, which restricts its operations and storage capacity.
- To ensure the continuity of this essential service, the center urgently needs to relocate to a larger and more accessible area. Maintaining this operation not only helps reduce plastic waste but also supports the livelihoods of 15 women employees, some of whom are single mothers relying solely on this job for income. The relocation and site development will be largely supported by the community, as this aggregator has been serving them since 2016.
