How We Turn Waste Into Sustainability Solutions

Our partners collection centers play a vital role in stopping plastic before it reaches the ocean. By collecting, sorting, and baling plastic by type and color, they ensure efficiency and supply recyclers with high-quality materials. This allows even the hardest-to-recycle plastics to be managed responsibly.

Pak Haji

West Lombok – Reclaimify Partner

Meet Pak Haji, our collection leader in West Lombok. He used to work in construction, but after the business went bankrupt, he saw an opportunity in plastic waste, a job many overlooked. Today, he not only supports his own family but also creates jobs for his neighbors. His collection center now handles up to 3 tonnes of plastic daily, and he is in the final step opening a second center in the Sumbawa Islands.

Pak Soni

East Lombok – Reclaimify Partner

Pak Soni has always been passionate about the environment. He took on the challenge of opening a waste bank in East Lombok. With fierce competition in PET bottle collection, he turned his focus to low-value plastics, materials that are often ignored. Today, he runs the largest (and only) collection center for low-value plastics in the region. It hasn’t been easy, the cost of collecting these plastics often exceeds their selling price, but he continues to lead with resilience and purpose.

Reclaimify Project Coordinator

Rika began her journey with OceanCycle as a data and social action coordinator, where she conducted audits and listened to the stories of waste pickers. Now, she plays a key role in connecting with Reclaimify partners, navigating the challenges of improving recycling rates while ensuring the work creates meaningful impact for both people and the planet.
